Atheists and Agnostics seem to get their panties in an uproar over the first step:
You are powerless over your addiction
Well how this concept is processed is relative.
What the hell does that mean?
energy equals mass times the speed of light squared...?
Einstein said "time is an optical delusion"
IF
If you’re operating SOLELY by your ego, if your ego is the only part of you in charge…
Then the statement is factual, you are in fact powerless.
Our ego is, well let’s say it’s our left brain.
Our intuitive self is, for the sake of argument and expediency our right brain
Left is in charge of Doing (and this is the ONLY thing it knows)
Right is in charge of Being
From doing’s perspective being is a non-statement
Our ego is genetically incapable of being...
(OK it only recognizes being as a mental concept, the map is
NOT the terrain)
Now even though every spiritual tradition known to man speaks of the denigration of the ego… you’d go crazy without a healthy ego.
We’d be like Rain Man (…course I’m an excellent driver… Kmart sucks)
Ego is about predictability.
It can only function with a perceived starting point and a perceived ending point
Without a balance between our ego and intuitive self, we have disharmony.
Time is gods dirty trick.
Time likes to fool us into thinking that it is real.
the only time is real is NOW.
past and future are optical delusions.
when you were in your past- it was NOW
when you get to your future= it will be NOW
don't believe me?
do something yesterday... right now
try it the other way...
do something tomarrow...right now
Our Rational mind and Intuitive mind have to work
together like your cars clutch pedal and gas pedal
If you let out the clutch with out pressing on the
gas pedal at the same time...you'll stall
you wont go any where
The Subject Object Relation...
more coming, very soon..I promise
it's 3:51 am and I've got to go to sleep
Victim Behavior comes from Damaged Boundaries, All addicts are at their core, codependents first. You cannot be one with out being the other. See a sister blog here: Codependent Boundaries

Everything is as it should be now
I lost my domain names: victimbehavior.com and emotionalboundaries.com
Dad died of cancer in July, I went on a binge for several months...
Everything is as it should be now
- My ex wife is 400 miles away
- I live with my 2 youngest children
- we live in a 300k townhouse with hardwood floors and 4 bathrooms
- I'm having a real parenting relationship w/ my youngest daughter and
I'm lucky she even talks too me based on my screwing up from P.T.S.D. from
incest when I was between the ages of 5 and 10

Substituting Addictions- Boundaries aren't enough
Long time no post...
I've fallen off the wagon with my various victim behaviors, lost the domain names, web hosting accounts,
Gotten evicted (knew it was coming, let it happen), slept in my car for
a week (in early winter... Baltimore is far enough north to get really
cold sometimes)
Now I'm living with my children, ex-wife is 2 weeks clean from crack, booted out
ex wife, moved out of an apartment with a crack
addicted, manipulative roommate, gotten saved and baptized at the
church that is my biggest customer
And what have I learned?
I was wrong.
Well
Didn’t have enough info
What happens when you suddenly have a boundary system when you didn't
have one?
You get to your core.
I learned volumes about self destructive behavior, MY self destructive
behavior from a movie on gambling addiction.
At my core I still don't like myself
More, much more later
Love you
David

Unlimited First Downs
My take on HP is:
Grace is a gift
We don't have to earn it
You can't get 'extra brownie points'
We all get the same quantity of Grace
Jesus doesn't take off points for past
failures
The only one who does that is US
it's a self inflicted wound
The total amount of resources Jesus
made available to us at 9 months old,
was still there at 29 years old and
will still be there at 69 years of age.
He doesn't take off points for past failures...
it's a self inflicted wound to do that.
We basically get unlimited first downs.
Every time we take a breath, it's first and ten.
Even if we got sacked for a loss the last
50 or 500 times the ball was snapped.

Indignation
a) Webster's Dictionary defines "resentment" as
"indignation" or "ill- will" felt as a result of a real or
imagined offense." Webster's then refers the reader to the
word "anger" and gives other examples of this thought or
feeling, which includes rage, fury, ire, wrath, resentment,
and indignation. These words denote varying degrees of
displeasure from anger (strong, intense, and explosive) to
the longer lasting resentment (ill-will and suppressed
anger generated by a sense of being wronged by another or
being wrong).

It's all King Henry's fault
Way back... King Henry wanted to get a divorce
The Catholic Church at that time kinda shared power with all of, or most of the kings that ran the various Western countries...
The Pope wouldn't let King Henry get divorced, cause in Catholicism,
Nobody can get divorced.
The Vatican used to have an army, and they used to use it.
...At the time King Henry asked for a special dispensation to get
a new wife the Vatican was militarily weak.
translation?
England was far enough away for King Henry to thumb his royal nose and the pope... He told the pope to f*** off and started the Church of England (you know, the archbishop of Canterbury?)
This was the same time Sir Issac Newton was doing his scientific thing...
After Ann Bolyn got her head lopped off, Newton had to rewrite all his treatises because it was no longer politically correct to say
ANYTHING about religion or spirituality lest you incur the wrath of King Henry... you'd lose you head
For 400 years the west has worshipped science.
This is the start of Western thought regarding the subjective as
Superstition (the mini ice age and it's relation to the Spanish inquisition and spectral evidence convicting the girls in the Salem Witch Hunt didn't help either)
Assign Blame
Keep Score
And argue facts that are in disagreement.
This is all you get to look forward to without:
Functional, Healthy Personal boundaries
Up till now you thought you were the voice inside your head
That voice is your Ego
You are much more than an Ego
It is: Logical, Analytical, Pragmatic and virtually useless to heal
Working ONLY with your Logical Left Brain is like re-arranging the furniture on the Titanic!

Dysfunctional Behavior Rapid Repair Manual
Dysfunctional Behavior Rapid Repair Manual
Part of you is looking at another part of you
… in contempt!
A short report about an effective strategy to end
Dysfunctional Behavior Patterns.
Up till now you thought you were the voice inside your head
That voice is your Ego
You are much more than an Ego
See our newest Ebook here:

The only real time experiences we have are:
With our selves (our authentic self)
and with God
consider this:
All perceptions are in the past
When we look up at the night sky, some of those
stars are not there anymore... it took so long
for the light to travel here, that some stars
have exploded millions of years ago
We'd never know that by looking with our eyes
All sight, anything we see- light takes 186,000 mph
to reach us, then several milliseconds for our
optical nerves, cornea, retina as so on to process
All we hear, sound travels at 760mph at sea level,
anyway- everything we hear is in the past
Even Sex, the closest we can be with another person
swapping bodily fluids and such...
tactile experiences take milliseconds
for our nervous system to process
